A little piece of old Gibraltar

Tucked down Parliament Lane, just off Main Street, The Star Bar has poured drinks for generations. Some say Columbus's crew drank here before setting sail (allegedly) — either way, the historic interior and narrow-lane setting are the real thing.

It's a locals' pub with a warm welcome, honest food and a bar that keeps going when the lane grows quiet.
